The Role
You will report to the Capital Accountant and be responsible for co-ordinating and monitoring the capital programme. Working closely with Project Managers you will manage business case appraisals and oversee the monitoring and performance of existing schemes. At year end you will assist with the closure of accounts including capital settlement, capital financing and maintaining the asset register. You will produce regular reports on the status of the 5 year programmes and will analyse key performance data to be shared with all relevant parties. 

Your Profile~
You will have excellent knowledge of capital accounting and are likely to be studying towards being a qualified accountant or be AAT qualified. You may have worked in local government but you could equally come from another area of public services or the private sector. You must have strong excel skills and be used to working with large data sets.
