Financial Services Manager
The City of Lincoln Council is looking to appoint an experienced finance professional who will contribute to all aspects of the financial standing, management and reporting of the Council’s financial resources. This key management role will deputise for the Chief Finance Officer (Section 151 Officer) and will lead the Financial Services Team in the provision of the full range of accountancy, exchequer, banking, insurance and treasury management functions.
The ideal candidate will need to be a fully qualified accountant, preferably CIPFA, with post qualification experience working at a senior level. Significant experience of the preparation of statutory accounts, budget preparation and budgetary control is essential. Providing financial advice to colleagues and elected members as well as writing and presenting complex reports are important aspects of the role so excellent communication skills are required. This role requires effective team management to meet challenging and competing deadline as well as the attendance at occasional evening meetings.
