Wokingham Borough Council is looking for a dynamic finance professional to provide a full range of financial support to the Council’s Children’s Directorate.
As a qualified accountant with significant experience in public sector accounting, you will be a key member of a small team of Finance Specialists who support Children’s and Adult Services within the Council.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Specialist - People Services, you will be responsible for the delivery of high quality financial advice to Children’s Services, being proactive in providing comprehensive support advice to all levels of management, including budget planning, forecasting, year-end closedown and project support.
To be considered for the role you must be a qualified accountant with sound experience of Children’s Services finance. Able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, strong communication and presentation skills you will also have an outstanding track record in delivering a customer focused service. Demonstrable experience of analysing and interpreting complex financial information is considered essential to this role.
