Interim Finance Business Partner (Financial Planning)
CIPFA-Penna are working with a progressive local authority that require some interim assistance (between 3 and 6 months) to help them complete their current budgeting process for the next financial year.
The role will involve getting out and about into the different services line of the authority, liaising with multiple budget holders to agree on a suitable budget that aligns to the over-arching financial objectives of the council. The successful candidate should skilfully manage the balance between understanding the challenges of these budget holders and delivering council-wide financial targets in relation to revenue and savings – which will require strong business-partnering, relationship-building and influencing qualities.
The successful candidate should ideally be a qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with previous experience of running a budgeting process within another local authority.
