It’s an exciting time to join Camden’s Finance service. Following our accreditation as a CIPFA Platinum Employer, we are seeking a number of innovative, highly skilled individuals to contribute to the Council’s Medium Term Financial Strategy. You will help implement our outcomes-based budgeting approach and deliver the best use of resources for the people of Camden.
We are searching for an experienced Systems Accountant to support the Senior Systems Accountant in managing, maintaining and developing the corporate financial system(s) and interfaces, acting as the Council’s expert on any purchases or changes that have an impact on financial systems. The post holder will proactively seek to drive continuous improvement, taking a leading role in specifying the systems required to ensure accurate and dependable information is maintained, including both core financial systems and key feeder systems.
You will act as the central co-ordinator for Corporate Finance on system changes to understand and deliver business and process changes, whilst providing advice on implications of code creations and how best to achieve outcomes through the system.
To be successful in this role, you will be part CCAB qualified with a strong financial background and advanced computer skills on financial systems, as well as report writing in a local government context.
You will have a good understanding of the systems and processes for producing financial information, ideally with knowledge of ERP, PBCS, AP, and integration with HCM and Taleo.
Demonstrating a good understanding of accounting requirements for local government is key to the role.
