An interesting new opportunity has arisen at a division of a Central Government department for an experienced PMO Manager to play a key role in the team which will deliver the changes arising as a consequence of the UK leaving the EU.
Reporting to the Programme Manager this role will initially focus on drawing together common requirements from a number of projects and planning coherent cross-cutting work to meet these various requirements. To derive a complete picture it will be necessary to work with a number of projects to understand their delivery plans. Some of these projects may themselves required help with formal planning. There is likely to be a secondary requirement to act as a project manager within the division for a number of the smaller EU Exit projects and, indeed, you’ll be responsible for identifying and communicating interdependencies between EU Exit projects and other changes taking place within the organisation.
You should be an experienced PMO manager, with a background in managing programmes within complex environments. Key to this role will be experience and strong skills in end-to-end project delivery, including changes to policy, business processes and technology. Planning project planning skills, especially integrated Planning across number of different projects, will be important as well. Owing to the range of people involved, first rate communication skills will also be important, along with the ability to rapidly build effective working relationships across a dispersed network of contacts.
This should make for an exciting opportunity to work on a very topical programme of work.
