Procurement Support Officer
The principle aim of the Procurement Support Officer is to assist the Procurement and Category Management team in obtaining the maximum benefits from the money spent on services and goods, and to release cost savings, add value and ensure probity through performance monitoring of contracts and contractors.
You will be able to persuade and train stakeholders, sell and implement strategic procurement activity within the sourcing team, negotiate contractual issues, and communicate statutory financial and procurement regulations to non-procurement stakeholders.
The Procurement Support Officer will have the ability to sell and deliver procurement services to both the commissioner and provider landscape, to meet a range of strategic needs.
The successful candidate will ideally hold a business degree in a related subject, or have equivalent experience, and possess a good understanding of NHS supplies and procurement procedures.
