Project Office Manager
An excellent opportunity has arisen at a government organisation for an experienced PMO Manager to play a key role in its transformation agenda.
Having selected a preferred supplier for improved systems, the project is increasing in delivery, pace and focus on the application of agreed project controls and governance. This now enables the project work-streams to move forward delivery against known timescales and project outputs which, from a management perspective, requires support across a range of activities. The role concerns the application of PMO needs and governance to assure and support, plus the execution of ad-hoc delivery tasks meet the requirements of the client organisations. On a day to day basis this will include ensuring adherence to agreed project controls, advising and guiding work-stream leads, project resources and suppliers.
You should be an experienced Project Office Manager, preferably holding current Security Clearance, who is able to assimilate and apply emerging PMO standards, work in a “hands on” capacity to perform analysis activities at a detailed governance level and - essentially - be able to use, at an advanced level, MS Project and MS Office to manage multi-workstream dependencies. First rate communication and stakeholder management skills will be important. The right candidate should demonstrate significant experience of working in complex and regulated organisations and fast paced projects/programmes, plus the ability to handle and develop immature PMO frameworks.
This will be a challenging role, but should offer the chance to work with an expert team and will add weight to your resume for future roles.
