Salary: £41,601 – £43,504 (Inc. LW)
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Service Accountant to support the provision of financial advice to designated Heads of Department and relevant budget holders.
Reporting to the Group Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of financial systems, processes and statutory accounts.
You will have both excellent accounting knowledge and communication skills as you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders where equal measures of diplomacy and assertiveness will be required. A pro-active attitude with an understanding of working within internal procedures is also essential. Knowledge of Special Education Needs funding for pupils in schools and education establishments would be useful but not essential.
You must be a fully or part-qualified accountant and possess financial management experience in a large organisation.
