Interim Director of Finance
I am recruiting for one of my Academy clients in Central London who are looking for an experienced interim Director of Finance to join their SMT as soon as possible, on a 6 month minimum contract term.
The successful candidate will be qualified and have extensive experience of the management of the finances for an Academies Trust in previous roles, including a strong track record of project managing and delivering key projects for previous employers for example, the roll out of a new payroll system which the client has planned over the next 3 months.
Directly managing a small but well-functioning team at the main headquarters, you will also have “dotted line” line management for a number of “on-site Business Managers”, who essentially run the finances day to day within the individual Academies and jointly report the Principal of each.
It is essential you are a clear and effective communicator in order that you can quickly build strong working relationships and credibility with the Board and the Trustees, as well as regularly visiting the diversely geographically spread Academies themselves to do exactly the same with the Business Managers and Principals of each.
As this position also includes taking on the role of Company Secretary and inputting significantly into the Board meetings, you will be responsible got EFA compliance and be fully versed with curriculum modelling and staffing,
