Deputy Director of Finance
Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust is the largest heart and lung centre in the UK and among the largest in Europe. We are a partnership of two specialist hospitals which are known throughout the world for their expertise, standard of care and research success.
We are looking for a Deputy Director of Finance with drive, ambition and a passion for excellence. Reporting to the Associate Chief Executive, the post holder will be responsible for the overall management and continued development of the Trust’s Finance function. We are looking for someone with the ability to innovate and adapt the finance function to support our evolving service models. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a high profile and demanding organisation which is going through a period of change within its finance team.
The post holder will take the lead role in ensuring the Trust’s statutory and internal financial reporting and planning requirements are met, that executives, clinicians and managers receive high quality financial management information to meet the business needs of the Trust, enabling the Trust to deliver value for money and achieve its challenging financial targets.
The post holder will also take the lead role in developing the Finance Team to ensure processes are efficient, effective and consistent across all divisions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will be someone who pushes the boundaries, who wants to create a finance team with a reputation for innovation and excellence.
You will have significant post qualified experience and your career will demonstrate considerable achievements in the NHS or large, complex environments. In addition, you will possess a versatile and inspiring management approach and a real appetite to undertake broad and challenging position. This role provides an excellent platform for an aspiring Finance Director who is seeking a challenging and rewarding role.
