Redbridge Council is situated in the eastern part of London, and provides services to approximately 297,000 residents. To support this they are recruiting a number of roles across the finance service. They are looking for innovative individuals passionate about moving away from traditional accounting and towards professional services, quality assurance, matrix working and accelerating pace. The Group Accountant will support the transformation of their department, alongside being a key contact for senior stakeholders for all strategic finance and business partnering matters. Other key responsibilities will include: -
- Assisting with the implementation and embedding of a business partnering model, ensuring the ethos of business partnering is adopted within the finance team and services.
- Promoting and developing a culture that supports a Self Service approach to service delivery.
- Supporting the delivery of service’s transformation and innovation through the provision of expert financial analysis and business case preparation
- Working closely with services in the development and financial evaluation of savings options and monitoring of savings delivery
To be suitable for the role you need to be a highly motivated, customer focused CCAB qualified candidate with proven experience of business partnering, including influencing and negotiating with senior stakeholders, within a large and complex organisation. Previous experience of embedding a business partnering approach within a large and complex organisation is also essential.
