In turn we offer a great central location which is easily accessible to all road and rail links plus we’re immensely proud of our flexible working options. Working with key internal and external stakeholders, you will put in place necessary infrastructure to deliver the annual accounts on time. You will specialise in and lead on key elements of statutory financial accounting and reporting, treasury management, capital financing and other regulatory requirements. With a keen eye for detail and technical expertise, you will guarantee our financial success for years to come.

About you

You will need to be qualified to CCAB level with significant post-qualification experience, as well as evidence of your continuing professional development. You will be able to demonstrate expert knowledge of the accounting codes, standards and regulations relevant to local authorities and be experienced interpreting, advising on and applying them. Your demonstrable ability to train and develop customer-facing finance professionals together with your experience of working within a large, complex organisation is essential to your success. You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to use these to develop valuable networks. Plus we understand that life sometimes doesn’t always go according to plan and that there are times where work has to fit around you, which is why we are committed to ensuring flexible working options across all of our business units.
