Deputy Finance Business Partner
Your skill with figures will get London’s attention.
Here at the Met, things are changing. And it’s all down to an ambitious transformation project that’ll improve the way we work, and the way we police. Managing billion-pound budgets, our finance department is leading the way. And now we’re looking for people who are just as influential as the city we serve and the figures we work with. People who can adapt. Who can look at things differently. This way, we’ll focus on what matters and make our city even better.
In this crucial role, you’ll help all our business groups achieve impressive value for money. Continually striving to improve, you’ll offer expert insights, provide professional analytical support and highlight potential risks. And, commercially-savvy, you’ll enjoy working at both a strategic and operational level.
Importantly, you’ll also help to implement our financial strategy across the Met. As part of this, you’ll design, build and maintain costing models - addressing any structure and service issues as you do so. Much of the role will rely on your collaborative ethos, which will see you fostering excellent working relationships. It means that as you champion positive change, you’ll also inspire confidence and instil trust.
To join, you’ll need experience of advising and guiding business decisions and frameworks. CCAB-qualified and with solid knowledge of revenue, capital and horizon scanning, you’ll confidently assess our models and contract management. Ideally, you’ll also have a post graduate qualification. But, more importantly, you’ll be flexible, resilient and determined. And a natural problem solver, you’ll think creatively and thrive when working under pressure.
Help us to set a new standard for the city. And have your skills felt across the whole of London.
