Director of Finance and Resources
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the new Director of Finance and Resources will be a pivotal appointment for Anthony Nolan as the charity is embarking on an exciting new three-year strategy after having doubled turnover in the past five years.
Every day, Anthony Nolan matches incredible individuals willing to donate their blood stem cells or bone marrow to people with blood cancer and blood disorders who desperately need lifesaving transplants. The charity was set up in 1974 as the world’s first register to match donors with people in desperate need. Now, the charity has enjoyed substantial growth and helps three people each day find that lifesaving match; and in addition to running the register, there is additional provision of patient services and state-of-the-art research.
As a member of the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT), the Director of Finance and Resources will play a key role in the collective leadership of the charity, taking responsibility for the strategic development and management of Anthony Nolan’s financial and physical resources as well as organisational development. The Director of Finance and Resources will work closely with the Chief Executive (CEO) to ensure that an appropriate strategic financial and people framework is in place to guide the charity’s decision making and ensure everyone can deliver their best for the beneficiaries.
We are seeking an exceptional leader with a full CCAB finance qualification, a strong commercial focus and a real empathy with the charitable mission. You will also need to possess a proven track record of:
- leading, motivating and developing multidisciplinary teams
- delivering commercial initiatives
- spearheading organisational development and programme management
