Pendle Borough Council is looking to recruit to the post of Financial Services Manager.  This post is the Council’s strategic financial lead, and will be the Section 151 Officer, for which an additional allowance is payable.

As a well managed Council, we are looking for someone who will continue with the same level of commitment and standards to ensure that the Council remains in as strong financial position as possible.  The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a CCAB recognised qualification and significant experience at a senior level to be able to advise and support Members and other senior officers on all aspects of the Council’s financial strategies, policies and procedures.  The post holder will be responsible for the management and development of the Finance Team and will also act as the Council’s Corporate Property Officer.

The Council has been in a strategic partnership with Liberata UK Ltd for 12 years and has recently extended the relationship for a further 13 years to 2030.  The post holder will be responsible for managing the client relationship.
