Interim Reconciliations Manager
I am looking for a Head of Revenues & Transactional Servicesto be responsible for providing reconciliations, financial and cash management services for a Local Authority.
You will be responsible for managing and delivering a quality Reconciliations Service, and for transforming the team’s performance and culture to recognise new ways of working and achieve high standards in Transactional Services.
Utilising your specialist knowledge of interpreting and implementing relevant regulations and legislation as the Council’s expert on the areas of responsibility, you will have a good understanding of complex current and historic law and precedents.
The key aspect of the role is around resourcing effectively and efficiently to deliver an effective service and achieve savings, whilst seeking growth opportunities to develop income.
Specific responsibilities will include leading on the provision of service for system reconciliations and control to ensure data integrity, leading on the control and reconciliation of all cash income to the Council including the reconciliation of bank accounts, cash balances etc. and suspense accounts and cash management , plus management of the use and control of Council’s banking arrangements.
You will also lead on the closure of accounts ensuring the monitoring of reconciliation carried out to ensure integrity to the system, delivering appropriate and effective system administration including period and year end procedures.
You will also be responsible for the relevant systems being reconciled to the general ledger, which is Oracle based.
