Search Keywords Help - pfjobs.co.uk

Entering keywords enables you to search for words and phrases that appear in jobs posted on pfjobs.co.uk. Keywords can be used alone or in combination with other search criteria to provide more accurate results.

Keywords can include skills and qualifications (e.g. shorthand, HTML), professional experience (e.g. "project management") and job titles (e.g. "account director").

You can select whether to search for keywords in job titles and descriptions or job titles only, using the radio buttons beneath the keyword field. Searching on job titles only is particularly helpful if you are looking for a role with a specific title (e.g. accountant).

Keywords can be individual words (e.g. marketing) or exact phrases, which should be entered in quotation marks (e.g. "financial management").

The words AND, OR and NOT enable you to search for combinations of keywords.

Example 1

  • Keyword: surveyor
  • In job title and description
  • Finds jobs with the word 'surveyor' in either the job title or the job description

Example 2

  • Keyword: chartered
  • In job title only
  • Finds jobs with the word 'chartered' in the job title

Example 3

  • Keyword: "cost manager"
  • In job title and description
  • Finds jobs with the phrase 'cost manager' in either the job title or the job description

Example 4

  • Keyword: residential AND valuer
  • In job title and description
  • Finds jobs with the words 'residential' and 'valuer' in either the job title or the job description

Example 5

  • Keyword: "senior director" OR executive
  • In job title and description
  • Finds jobs with the phrase 'senior director' or the word 'executive' in either the job title or the job description

Example 6

  • Keyword: graduate NOT senior
  • In job title and description
  • Finds jobs with the word 'graduate' but not the word 'senior' in either the job title or the job description
