A new Audit Committee is currently being set up on behalf of the Chief Constable and the new Kent Police and Crime Commissioner, who will take up office on the 22 November 2012. The Committee will ensure adequacy of their financial and risk management and reporting.
We are seeking applications from people who have:
• Senior level experience of scrutinising financial information and processes
• Understanding of public sector finances
• Knowledge of best practice in audit and corporate governance
• Understanding of risk control
We expect the Committee to meet around four times a year. Initial appointments will be until December 2016.
Members will be paid a daily rate of £211.50, with part days paid at an hourly rate.
