To support the Financial Operations Manager in the provision of a professional financial planning, management and accounting service, creating confidence both inside and outside the force. Maintain the integrity of the force financial records, and assist in the development of new systems and processes to comply with legislation, and the increased demands and requirements of the force.Responsibilities for the accounting entries in the force financial records, in such specialist areas as as capital accounting, pensions, VAT, efficiency planning and the force asset register; and to satisfy the requirements of local authority accounting legislation, and relevant accounting standards.
Responsible for the collection and collation of area and departmental budget monitoring returns, and the production of a force-level report for presentation tot he Chief Officers and the Police Authority.
