Your daily duties will include:
o Auditing and developing the existing financial model for use during the bid evaluation to validate bidders' models.
o Interrogating bidders' models during the bid evaluation to produce summaries for use in the wider evaluation team and senior management,
o Validating changes to bidders' models following appointment of preferred bidders.
o Contributing to Board, Executive Committee and consultation papers as appropriate.
The successful candidate will ideally be a CCAB qualified accountant that has experience of financial modelling, reporting and analysis in a regulatory or commercial environment, who can interpret complex finance information contained in financial statements and reports. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required as it is imperative that you are able to work with a matrix management approach to projects. For this role, it is imperative that you have in depth knowledge of Visual Basic and experience of developing and testing macros in Excel.
