Providing sound leadership to the finance team through clear communication, cascading of key messages and the creation of a positive working environment that promotes successful achievement of personal and business goals. This role forms part of the senior management team which is leading the business unit in delivering significant change , controlling new product developments and delivering improved management information
Responsibilities and Duties
Ensure delivery of cost effective and efficient services for all financial (& some commercial) matters to the business
Maintain full responsibility and accountability through the exact and pro-active management of objectives and targets
Be a leader in the development of the strategic plan, along with the MD, and manage the business to make progress against defined metrics
Establish and build strong working relationships across the organisation to ensure that the business objectives are achieved
Identify and exploit opportunities for continuous improvement in all business areas
Establish a strong set of management information that supports and stimulates management in running the business
Ensure all month end accounting is completed in a timely fashion, along with monthly re-forecasting of the following 18 months
Manage the production of the annual business plan
Essential experience/ skills
Experience of senior level relationship building with a strong commercial bias
Experience working in the Software sector and at a senior level working as part of a senior management team.
Ability to influence in a way that results in acceptance or behavioural change, communicating clearly, appropriately and in a concise manner
Ability to understand and input into key commercial issues which add value to the business
Graduate calibre qualified accountant with proven experience in a role at this level.
