Take lead in third party supplier negotiations including but not limited to: contract terms, performance reviews, payment matrix and expansion of the supplier network. Provide commercial support for the expansion of the product across the Business, being a key member of the team with detailed product, operations, claims, supplier and systems knowledge. Develop close working relations with senior operational management team in order to influence and improve overall financial performance. Develop and communicate to the senior management team a detailed understanding of how the key drivers of claims inter-relate to help ensure business efforts and strategy are focused accordingly. Maintain tight cost control throughout the teams and ensure the correct suppliers are paid accurately for bone fide claims completed in line with contract terms. Understand key drivers of claims performance and impact of the cost control team on the P&L. Manage the preparation of financial and business performance information to ensure both internal and external parties are aware of both claims performance overall and individual supplier performance. Manage the provision of an arbitration service for external suppliers, managing both claim disputes and working relations effectively. Work closely with IT and systems teams to correct system issues, review and automate processes as far as possible. Key point of contact for the financial shared services team and home emergency underwriter, ensuring monthly statements are correct and accurate. Ownership of the financial control environment including integrity of financial processes and cash flow management. Responsibility for managing accurate claims information which will be used in FSA returns.
