Finance Professional Services plays a key role in the evolution of the Council. We regard ourselves as catalysts for change across the organisation. Are you an experienced Financial Analyst who thrives within a varied environment? Are you able to demonstrate a proven ability to identify and support the business in implementing cost savings? If you have answered yes to both of these questions then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join an established, reputable team within the public sector environment.
The successful applicant will be instrumental in the organisation and will play an active role in supporting future challenges in a proactive and beneficial manner
Applicants will have a firm understanding of financial management and frameworks ideally from large complex organisation. You will be expected to hold the drive and knowledge to deliver expert advice and identify opportunities for improvements whilst managing a varied portfolio of projects.
The role is hugely varied and will enable you to work across a diverse range of business areas. From business modelling and major saving projects to complex procurements, you will own the financial aspects of project delivery. You will also be supporting the development of the Councils financial strategy, build strong relationships with a range of internal and external partners and play a key and active role within senior manager forums.
