My client is looking for an interim internal auditor to join them for a 6 months contract. You will be based in Manchester however you will travel to cover the whole group. The purpose of the role is:
* To deliver a comprehensive internal audit / business assurance service across the Group and to carry out independent appraisals of the effectiveness of the Group's internal control and risk framework incorporating all wider business assurance processes in accordance with the annual Internal Audit / Business Assurance Plan.
* Add value by acting as a facilitator for business risk management and carrying out value for money reviews, thereby assisting the members and management in the effective discharge of their responsibilities.
* Deputise for the Head of Business Assurance as and when required.
You will be a fully qualified Accountant or equivalent.
You will have risk management experience
Experience of best practice in governance
You will preferably have a public sector / local government background.
