Deputy Finance Manager - GLA Group Budget – up to £53,710
The Greater London Authority (GLA) is changing from being a strategic authority to one which also delivers key housing and economic regeneration functions for Londoners. The GLA is at the centre of innovative developments in local government finance, such as Enterprise Zones and a bond issuance programme.
GLA Group Budget will help support the Mayor of London’s £15bn annual revenue and capital budget setting process for the GLA Group which includes the Metropolitan Police, Transport for London and the London Fire Brigade. He / she will also help advise on the financial aspects of new corporate initiatives including the Crossrail Business Rate Supplement, tax increment financing, business rates retention, council tax benefit localisation and Enterprise Zones. The successful candidate is likely to have extensive experience of co-ordinating a complex corporate budget process and a thorough understanding of local government finance.
