Finance Manager – Closing & Accountancy
London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham
“Doing something very special in challenging times”
This is how the judging panel described the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham when it won the LGC Council of the Year award in 2010. As LBHF strives
even further to deliver services in the best and most efficient way possible, the Finance department is crucial in supporting this change.
We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic people to join our finance team, and help us do something very special.
Based in the central finance team, this role will manage 3 members of staff. You will be responsible for over-seeing and coordinating all aspects of closing the
authority’s accounts, including both year end and in-year quarterly closing. You will also be involved in providing technical accountancy advice and support to
services and programmes across the authority.
You will have a generic job description which gives the flexibility to meet both the needs of the business and staff development. However, initial placement for the
role will be in the central Closing & Accountancy finance team
You will be leading a dynamic team in a challenging area, and you should therefore have significant local government finance experience. Previous experience in leading the closure of accounts process is desirable, but not essential.
Application Closing date: Monday 9th April 2012.
Interviews and Assessments: TBC
