Defra is the UK government department responsible for safeguarding our natural environment, supporting our world-leading food and farming industry, and sustaining a thriving rural economy. Our broad remit means we play a major role in people’s day-to-day life, from the food we eat, and the air we breathe, to the water we drink.
Within Defra Group Finance we are looking to fill a number of Finance Control Officer posts. These roles are planned to be part of a wider financial control function, to lead on producing key performance indicators, finance guidance and training, and help embed increased financial control in the business.
We are looking for full or part qualified CCAB accountants who can demonstrate they have experience of delivering financial improvements and implementing strong financial controls that help an organisation deliver more effectively.
Closing date: 25 April 2019.
Ideally these posts will be based in London and/or York, though other locations may be considered, but travel is expected to other offices.
