I am recruiting a Senior Finance Manager for one of our top NHS clients based in the West Country. They are looking to recruit this position on a 12-month contract.

The post holder will provide financial support and advice within the CCG as a senior member of the finance team, ensuring that finances are effectively monitored and managed, supporting key projects to deliver the CCG objectives, equipping budget holders to understand and respond to financial challenges and ensuring that the Chief Financial Officer and Governing Body receive accurate and timely information.

Main Duties:

  • This post is the finance lead for the commissioning of non-acute services.
  • The role supports the business in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning and commissioning.
  • Present complex financial information to a range of stakeholders in a formal setting.
  • Contribute to annual planning and budget setting by modelling and calculating financial requirements, including cash management, taking into account nationally and locally agreed priorities and engaging with budget holders.
  • Responsible for the financial monthly monitoring of all non-acute services.
  • Provide complex costing information and analysis to support financial monitoring and control of commissioning projects.
  • Directly manages the Finance Manager, Finance Assistant and Invoice Query Manager/ Systems Support Assistant.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant 

Experience:

Expert knowledge of accounting for large and complex organisations, to include:

  • Budget preparation
  • Forecasting
  • Maintaining the integrity of technical data and accuracy of reporting
