The Director of Financial Performance is a member of the Royal Free Hospital Executive Team and will provide financial leadership to the site, supporting the Hospital Chief Executive in developing and delivering the site strategy, improving the financial efficiency and overall performance of the Hospital.   

The role will also act as the nominated Deputy Chief Finance Officer (CFO) for the Royal Free London Group. The post holder will be expected to deputise for the Group Chief Finance & Compliance Officer in all board finance related matters. The post holder will also be expected to lead on a number of group-wide programmes of work to deliver benefits across the group such as Clinical Practice Groups which are the forefront the organisations 5 year strategy.  The role will also support the Trust in Finance Department Development, which is a program that will transform the way we deliver finance across the group through staff development and Robotic Process Automation.

The successful candidate must be a robust, credible, professionally qualified accountant with exemplary leadership skills, high standards and strong attention to detail. You must be a naturally strategic thinker, and a robust, clear communicator to enable you to build effective relationships and influence challenging individuals at all levels, in and out of the organisation. Your significant post-qualification experience will have been gained within a large, complex and public sector organisation as either an experienced Deputy Director, or an existing board level Director of Finance.
