A Local Authority are embarking on a period of transformation and change and currently are looking to recruit an interim for a period of 6 months to support thier corporate finance function.

You provide will provide  expert technical advice on complex local authority financial issues including the Collection Fund, local authority tax & VAT and MRP policy. To commission advice on Financial Instrument requirements, and the implications for the Council arising from the Prudential, Treasury Management, & Investment Codes either from the Council’s retained consultants and/or the Council’s Treasury Management expert.

You will oversee the day to to-day provision of financial services (book keeping, treasury management, budget monitoring) to the Council’s growing housing company

You will be CCAB qualified and a technical expert within local authority accounting and preparation of the Statement of Accounts, Collection Fund accounting and local government VAT and tax

Flexible home working and part-time maybe considered
