SALARY: £46,514 to £50,390 plus £2,000 Market Supplement

About Three Rivers District Council
Three Rivers District in South West Hertfordshire straddles the North West corner of the M25 on the edge of Greater London. The district is a mixture of beautiful countryside, villages and small towns. The area has a diverse range of sectors and businesses and is a centre for the film industry with Warner Brothers at Leavesden forming part of a studio cluster along with Elstree and Pinewood is a short drive away.
Following the introduction of some significant projects at both Councils, the finance service has recruited Finance Managers to support these projects. This role is full time, fixed term to provide maternity cover.
This role is to provide support to both senior management and individual project managers at Watford Borough Council. The successful applicant will work within the Financial Planning and Analysis team, and will be primarily responsible for project finance, maintenance of long-term budget and capital forecasts and provision of reports to senior management, the elected Mayor and Councillors. It is a role that has a requirement for both technical and soft skills, and provides an opportunity to be a key part in making a real difference to Watford.
What we are looking for:-
An ambitious qualified/passed finalist accountant to work within a busy team supporting two Councils in south west Hertfordshire. Local government accounting experience is desirable but not essential. A project management qualification would be an asset.
