An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an outstanding finance professional with a proven track record of developing and delivering effective strategic financial planning and producing budgets, reports, forecasting and analysis to meet business aims. Reporting into the Chief Executive, the Director of Finance & Resources will play a key role within the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), whilst heading up finance and other areas, including business data, information technology (IT) and human resources (HR).
Managing a team of 7 staff, your key responsibilities of the role include:
- delivering accurate, timely and relevant information to the Chief Executive, Council and other stakeholders
- Acting as a strategic business partner, you will
- collaborating with the wider SLT to ensure overall strategic delivering for the ACT
- supporting the key objectives IT & HR teams
The successful candidate must be a credible, professionally qualified accountant with exemplary leadership skills, high standards and strong attention to detail. You must be a naturally strategic thinker, and a robust, clear communicator to enable you to build effective relationships and influence individuals at all levels, in and out of finance. Your significant experience will have been gained from either a public or commercial sector organisation, although time within a smaller business would be advantageous. You will be comfortable at managing operational finance and ensuring a best practice mentality throughout the finance and IT functions.
