Interim Chief Accountant
The role is currently envisaged to be a 6 month interim appointment to manage the Council’s accountancy function and specifically to lead the Council’s year end processes to a successful conclusion.
The Council is experiencing an unprecedented period of change driven by increasing demands on council services and funding pressures. You should have a track record of innovation, personal resilience, enthusiasm and evidence of highly developed financial skills.
You will expected to provide leadership to the Accountancy team and in particular leading the Council’s year end processes to completion.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with other Service Managers, Heads of Service and the S95 Officer to support overall strategic and operational leadership of Management, Corporate Accountancy and Procurement Teams ensuring the excellence of the services provided.
You will be CCAB qualified and will have previous experience of leading Local Authority year end processes.
