About us

South Hams District Council and West Devon Borough Council have had a shared management team since 2011 and we have been at the forefront on the national stage with the Councils' transformation programme. We have successfully delivered a large change agenda which has allowed us to continue to deliver our services at a high standard whilst absorbing substantial reductions in central government funding.

We continue to implement new processes to ensure we can meet the challenges of the future.

If you join us, you will become part of a highly skilled, motivated and positive team which is determined to give good value for money and a high quality experience to our customers.

Please be aware that the assessment process will focus on our IMPACT Behavioural framework which has been developed to support South Hams District and West Devon Borough Councils' ambitions for their workforce.

The framework aims to enhance both individual and organisational performance and will be applied in recruitment, performance management and career progression. It defines the behaviours that all colleagues across both councils are expected to consistently demonstrate at work.
