Director of Finance and Corporate Services
Culture and Sport Glasgow (trading as Glasgow Life) delivers world-class museums, major events and sports facilities, as well as excellent community based services, including libraries and community facilities, which enrich the lives of citizens of and visitors to Glasgow, Scotland’s most vibrant city. We are committed to contributing to Glasgow’s economic and social wellbeing and we do this by getting more people, more involved in cultural and sporting activity. A charitable company, limited by guarantee, it is the largest organisation of its kind in the UK, with a budget approaching £112 million per annum and 2700 staff.
We require a professionally qualified and suitably experienced individual to lead Finance and Corporate Services, overseeing and managing all aspects relating to the organisation’s financial performance.
Ideally with experience gained at senior management and strategic level within the public/not-for-profit sector, you will lead from the front, be self-motivated and proactive in delivering solutions in a fast-moving environment.
Reporting to the Chief Executive you will be an integral part of the Senior Management Team responsible for shaping the organisation’s financial strategy.
A Standard Disclosure check will be essential on taking up appointment.
I would advise that under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 this post is politically restricted.
