BELIZE | Volunteer Accountant @ Org. Protecting Biodiversity
Our partner is an organisation formed of community members coming together to manage the land and natural resources within the Sarstoon Temash National Park, an extremely important home of biodiversity over 41,000 acres in size.
Based in a fishing town on the Caribbean Sea in Belize, their mission is to safeguard the ecological integrity of the Sarstoon Temash region and employ its resources in an environmentally sound manner for the economic, social, cultural and spiritual well-being of its indigenous people.
Your role will include reviewing all accounting for the last six months and continue providing training to staff. In particular support is needed with:
- Deferred income schedule
- Getting the 2017 accounts ready to be audited
- Credit card reconciliation
- Account for in kind contributions on Quickbooks
- Helping them move to paperless accounting on Quickbooks
- Setting up and using the inventory on Quickbooks
