The Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner plays a key role in ensuring the people of Cheshire are safe and Cheshire Constabulary delivers its Police and Crime Plan.  We are responsible for setting the budgets, the strategic direction and objectives of the force through the Police and Crime Plan, ensuring an effective and efficient Constabulary and holding the Chief Constable to account on behalf of the people of Cheshire.

Following a restructure, we are now seeking a Head of Finance, Operations & Governance. As a new role, you will play a key role in shaping the organisation and delivering our objectives to make Cheshire the safest county in the country. This role will be critical in ensuring the conditions for our future success, advising the Commissioner, the Chief of Staff and other key partners on developing innovative, up-to-date and well planned and robust strategies that shape policing across Cheshire.

In this critical role you will be responsible for finance, operations, governance, policy and strategy. As an experienced and qualified senior finance professional with strategic level expertise, you will be a collaborative leader who will work across your functions and beyond to leverage the overall performance of the organisation and beyond. You will be a team player, who can work across disciplines, with good negotiation and influencing skills, and want to make a difference.
