This is a fabulous opportunity for an ambitious, innovative, suitably qualified and experienced accountant to join our Finance Team and act as our Deputy Section 151 Officer.

Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting Council wide transformation and continuing to build resilience and financial stability.

Leading and managing the accountancy teams, your key responsibilities will include;

• Leading on the production of our medium-term financial strategies, annual revenue budget and capital programme.

• Leadership and management of our finance business partnering teams

• Monitoring our financial performance and completion of the final accounts.

• Oversight of our treasury management and banking functions.

• Deputising for the Chief Finance Officer in providing finance advice to Council Cabinet, Scrutiny and Audit Committee.

You will be CCAB/CIMA qualified coupled with significant experience of finance leadership and a passion for service improvement and high quality public services.
