As part of our commitment to providing high quality assurance services, we are looking to recruit a highly motivated Service Manager to lead our Internal Audit and Risk functions.

Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, as our designated ‘Head of Audit’ you will play a critical role in developing and the delivery of the Council’s approach to Internal Audit and Risk. Ensuring compliance with Public Sector Internal Audit Standards and the Accounts and Audit Regulations will be a minimum.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is outcome focused with a passion to continually improve the effectiveness of the Council’s overall control environment and help to drive service performance to deliver on the Council’s strategic priorities. 

You will be have an internal audit qualification (IIA) or accountancy qualification (CCAB/CIMA) with substantial experience of leading audit teams at a senior level.
