Investment, Insurance and Commercial Manager
Grade 10 - £46,608 - £54,480 per annum (£56,496 unconsolidated maximum, achievable through performance-related progression)
Full-time, 36 hours per week
Location - Sutton Civic Offices and Kingston Guildhall Offices
In April 2017 the London Borough of Sutton and the Royal Borough of Kingston launched an exciting new Shared Finance Service. About the role
This role will be one of two managers reporting to the Head of Investment, Risk and Commercial Finance. You will lead on all strategic aspects of Treasury and Pensions and manage the Insurance Service provided to the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames. You will support the Councils to build commercial acumen and support the development and implementation of commercial schemes that generate income for the Councils and deliver excellent outcomes to residents.
You will lead a team of approximately 9 individuals and work closely with the Capital and Commercial Manager to deliver excellent commercial advice and guidance to our stakeholders, as well as manage the statutory financial management and reporting for Treasury and Pensions.
You will be skilled in Investment Management, have a good understanding of the Local Government Pension
Scheme and Treasury Management principles, and be confident working with senior officers and Councillors.
You will be able to interpret complex financial information and provide technical, commercially sound advice to a wide range of stakeholders. You will be a positive and proactive leader who motivates those around you and takes personal responsibility for delivering high quality financial services that support our stakeholders to achieve success.
