Head of Finance – Adult Social Care & Health

£59,651 - £65,185

Lewes

This is a unique opportunity to be part of ground-breaking developments in local authority partnerships.

The Head of Finance will play a key role for the Council, partnering with senior managers to provide strategic financial information, advice and insight as they strive to integrate social care with health services within an Accountable Care Organisation. As a leader, you will oversee the provision of accounting services and contribute to the ongoing development and integration of financial services across the Orbis partnership between East Sussex and Surrey County Councils and Brighton and Hove City Council. Leading a team based in East Sussex, you will inspire, motivate and deliver change that takes financial information and strategic advice to another level, developing future-ready finance services marrying the best commercial principles with a strong public service ethos.

You will have an in-depth knowledge of public sector finance, a CCAB or CIMA qualification and experience of managing a team. More importantly, you will have a flair for leadership, an exceptional ability to communicate financial information and a demonstrable capacity to rise above transactional finance activity. Experience of partnership working will be a clear advantage.

We can offer you a diverse range of employee benefits, flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of the largest providers of business support functions in the UK public sector.
