An excellent new opportunity has arisen at an NHS Trust in the North West for an experienced Management Accountant to lead a small team responsible for the finances of key division.
Reporting into the Head of Financial Management, you will initially be responsible for getting a firm grip on the monthly budgeting and analysis, and will guide the team in this context. You will be liaising with a variety of people across the organisation – financial and non-financial - to support reporting and deliver financial advice, challenging assumptions from a commercial perspective and bringing improved structure to the process.
You should be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, with substantial management accounting experience. It is important that you are able to demonstrate strong active financial management exposure, preferably gained within an NHS acute environment, but exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence will help if your experience is drawn from elsewhere.
This represents a great chance to take on a piece of work where you are able to have an immediate impact. Depending upon circumstances, for the right candidate, there could be future opportunities.
