Audit & Risk Manager
As part of the Audit & Risk Management Service’s commitment to providing high quality and efficient services, we are looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Audit & Risk Manager to manage the strategic and operational activities of the Council’s internal audit and risk management service, including development and performance management of the team.
You will play a key role in the development and delivery of the Council’s Risk Management Strategy and Internal Audit Service, helping the Council to achieve its objectives through proportionate arrangements for governance, risk management and internal control.
This is a critical post within the Council’s Audit and Risk Management Service and you will represent the Head of Internal Audit & Risk Management in their absence as and when required.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit & Risk Management, you will assist with the continuous improvement and innovation of the internal audit and risk management services, ensuring that the Council always has a fit for purpose and suitably skilled resource in the in-house team and bought-in service. This will include ensuring compliance with Public Sector Internal Audit Standards.
