Finance Manager

Full-time or term-time only

£38,000 - £45,000 per annum

South Hampstead High School is looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager to join our team as soon as possible.

In this key role you will be working closely with the Director of Finance and Operations and line-managing the Finance Office team.  You will be responsible for providing financial and accounting support to the school, including policy setting and application, resource and budget management and all elements of financial administration.

The Finance Manager will lead a small team, but will have a large influence over the whole school community. You will build relationships with prospective and current parents, whether by telephone, email or visits to the school.

Whilst some knowledge and experience of the education sector would be an advantage, it is more important that the successful applicant brings all their energy, enthusiasm and financial expertise to the table.  A recognised accountancy qualification would be desirable.

Please note this is a full-time position but part-time applications will be considered.

South Hampstead High School is a selective independent school for girls, occupying a site in the residential area at the southern end of Maresfield Gardens, Hampstead, NW3.  The school is well served by public transport and there are excellent local amenities, a theatre, shops, and a swimming pool within a 5 minute walk along Finchley Road.  We are part of the GDST, the UK’s leading group of independent girls’ schools, with 23 schools and 2 academies.

Further details and application forms are available from the school website http://www.shhs.gdst.net/541/about-us/working-with-us

The closing date: Wednesday 3rd January 2018.
