Finance Business Partner - Local Government
Allen Lane are currently working with a London local authority to recruit a Finance Business Partner to lead on the provision of financial advice and support for their Environment directorate. The council has been going through a period of change and the successful candidate will need to hit the ground running – this means that previous experience of working with the Environment service is a must.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- To ensure that financial information is relevant and balanced and is received by decision-takers at the appropriate level
- To work with services to ensure the accuracy of information input to systems and proper responses to system outputs
- To work with managers to ensure they have the information and tools and develop the skills to manage their finances themselves
- To provide advice and support to Members, management board, directors and deputy directors on the full range of issues within the scope of the job
The successful candidate must be CCAB qualified and have extensive Business Partnering experience within a local authority setting or large public sector organisation. Strong communication skills and resilience will be essential to make a quick impact within the team.
