High Needs Specialist - Local Government
Allen Lane are currently working with a local authority to recruit a Principal Accountant with expertise in High Needs Children. The successful candidate will provide financial advice, planning and support the service for the High Needs Block. This will include commissioning arrangements between the local authority and specialist provisions, necessary as part of the children’s education, health and care plans.
The key elements of this position are;
- Assisting budget holders to understand and manage their budgets effectively
- Analysing performance data for a range of services with a view to highlighting areas for budget scrutiny
- Producing annual accounts in accordance with relevant standards and timetables
The organisation have a permanent appointment that will be working alongside this role to help the service reach its full potential. The successful candidate will need to be highly knowledgeable and experienced within educational finance, in particular High Needs.
