At the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, we’re looking to meet some exciting challenges by strengthening our Finance function. For a qualified Accountant, it’s an outstanding opportunity. With your help, we can make sure our borough keeps moving forward.
In this key role, providing technical advice, regular balance sheet monitoring and statutory reporting will be down to you. It means taking the lead on control and reporting, both for month and year-end. With your expert knowledge of corporate finance, you’ll be equipped to deliver training and offer high-level guidance and support. This will cover a broad range of financial issues, including correct use of the chart of accounts.
To join us, you must be CCAB-qualified and well versed in accounting practice. You’ll know all about Council budgets, financial frameworks and requirements for annual closure of accounts. You’ll also be aware of the issues and legislation affecting local government. With this background plus strong communication skills, you can prepare accounting statements, monitor control accounts and support senior managers.
If you love making things happen, enjoy working in a collaborative way and want to use your technical accounting skills to nurture the future of a changing borough, we want to hear from you.
