Group Finance Manager – Management Accountancy
In the wake of the tragic Grenfell Fire earlier this year, the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea is working to re-shape and strengthen its services, including finance. As we take on board lessons and
reflect on what’s happened, we are re-building our teams so that they're equipped for future challenges.
Your main tasks will include provision of high quality, strategic management accounting advice to a number of major Council business areas; you will also support the financial accounting process. You will advise on all elements of strategic finance, supporting business planning and projects, including the
authority’s capital programme.
To join us in this senior role, you must be CCAB qualified (ideally CIPFA). We will expect extensive knowledge of accounting principles, council budgets and local government finance. You should also have a proven track record in staff management and delivering high quality services. Strong communication, strategic vision and sound project management skills will be invaluable to you in this high profile role.
