Malaria No More UK (MNMUK) has a straight forward objective – to end malaria. We believe this is achievable by building on the successes of the last 15 years and by bringing new resources to the challenge. In a rapidly changing world where fashionable issues come and go, the global community must be relentless in pursuing the end of the oldest, deadliest disease in human history.

The strategy is to inspire the world to act. Over the next year this will manifest itself in a high- profile campaign culminating in a global summit ‘Call to action’ by governments from the north and south. The ambition is extending to influence leadership and funding at the global level, and into Europe and Africa.

To help achieve these goals and best utilise the fantastic team already in place, an exciting new role as been created; the Chief Operating Officer will directly report to the Executive Director and whilst overseeing Finance, HR, IT and Planning, the successful candidate will play a critical role in helping develop a new organisational strategy, ensuring there is coherence and communication across a high-performing and necessarily agile work force.

You will need to be passionate about Malaria No More UK; and we are seeking inspirational leaders with a positive and strategic approach. Given the scale of the team, cultural fit is key. Whilst we are fairly open on profile in order to attract the right calibre of candidate, you will most likely come from one of the following professional career paths:

  • Consultancy/Advisory (with a relevant focus on change and organisational/financial strategy);
  • A proven Director/Executive from a relevant scale/sector organisation with a professional qualification in Finance (or HR) and focus on organisational strategy; or
  • An entrepreneur with some experience having run a ‘start-up’ organisation (possessing the broad appreciation of the importance of people strategy/organisational planning).
